The LTPP MRL has moved to a new location in May 2019. It is currently in the process of reorganizing its inventory and installing pallet racking - a process which has taken several weeks. However, the facility is in operation during this process. At this time, fulfillment of material request is limited by the maneuverability of containers within the confined storage space. Shipment of requested materials may be delayed depending on the size of the material request.
The MRL is committed to providing the best possible service and will strive to meet your needs. For requests and questions, please contact Timin Punnackal at NCE by phone at (775) 329-4955 or by email at mrl@ncenet.com.

"The FHWA purchased four Transverse Profile Measurement Systems (TPMS) in late 2017. These laser-based systems have been installed on each of the four High-Speed Survey (HSS) vehicles that were already collecting pavement longitudinal profile and macrotexture data for the LTPP program. A single transverse profile consists of 2048 transverse data points obtained at 0.98-inch longitudinal intervals triggered by the signal from the Distance Measuring Instrument (DMI) in the HSS vehicle. This replaces the old manual Dipstick method for collecting transverse profile data and provides enhanced safety for the LTPP program. July 5, 2019

The Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Long Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program, visited the following Universities and State Department of Transportations during the first half of the 2015 calendar year to give a history and overview of the LTPP program, to refresh those familiar with the program or introduce those unfamiliar.
Guest were presented with a brief summary of the benefits of the LTPP program to the pavement industry, and given an introduction to the LTPP InfoPave website. Attendees learned about the academic uses of LTPP data and tools, and were provided sample applications and case studies. An overview of the ASCE / LTPP International Data Analysis Contest was discussed as well. The LTPP team also discussed current and future activities at the LTPP program – including an update on the programs newest pavement experiment, the Warm Mix Asphalt experiment. Are you aware that C-SHRP data can be found under the Non-LTPP tab along with numerous related reports? C-SHRP is the Canadian Strategic Highway Research Program. The Transportation Association of Canada recently notified all Canadian agencies/academia’s of the C-SHRP data availability through InfoPave. For more information about C-SHRP please see the attached document or contact Luay Mustafa via email mustafa@tac-atc.ca April 30, 2015
Since the official recruitment of the of the Long-Term Pavement Performance (LTPP) program’s new warm-mix asphalt (WMA) experiment in January 2014, two sites have been constructed. A site in New Mexico was completed in November 2014 and one site in Texas was completed in February 2015. Pavement performance and materials sampling data are being collected at both test sites and these data are being added to the LTPP database. February 9, 2015
