Pavement Loading User Guide (LTPP-PLUG)

LTPP Pavement Loading User Guide (LTPP PLUG) is a stand-alone guide and database software application that provides guidance for development of axle loading defaults and selection of the defaults for Mechanical-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) use for sites that lack site-specific weigh-in-motion (WIM) data or have data of limited quality. This application can work with LTPP or user-provided WIM data summaries and produces axle load distribution input files for use with the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) 1-37A and AASHTOWare Pavement ME Design software products. Site specific values for all LTPP sections for NALS, axles per truck, and normalized vehicle class distributions (NVCD) in the MEPDG traffic tables are available for download from InfoPave to be imported to this software.
