Welcome to LTPP InfoPave Ancillary Data Selection and Download, a user-friendly feature to locate and download LTPP data. With just a few clicks through this tour, you’ll be ready to select and download your desired data from the LTPP database. Ready?

Under the ‘Find Sections’ panel, there are a number of filters that can assist you in narrowing down your search for LTPP sections. These include general information, structure, climate, traffic, and performance filters. Hovering mouse over each filter will display a description that explains how each filter works. For example, you can find sections that are more than 25 years old using the Age filter.

Section information bar shows the number of selected sections which have been filtered using the “Find Sections” panel. Other available options are “Show Sections” and “Go To…”. By selecting Show Sections button, you can view the list of your selected sections and corresponding general information for the selected section.

The “Go To…” feature provides quick way of navigating to other InfoPave features such as Maps, Section Summary Report, Section Timeline, Pavement Cross-Section Viewer etc. For example, by switching to Map feature you can locate the sections on a map or visualize data to make sure you have selected the sections of your choice.

Type appropriate keyword in this Find box for the data you are looking for. Find results will be highlighted in Data Classification shown below.

After finding your desired sections, you can select your required data nodes under Structure, Climate, Traffic, and Performance categories. This data classification is organized according to primary and advanced data. The legend key on top, describes the type of data classification.

Selecting the “Show Advanced Data Classification” option, will display additional data nodes of less priority under the Data Classification tree. Also, the selected tables and fields will be displayed on the right hand side. This right hand panel allows you to view data tables based on their priority (‘Basic’, ‘Additional’, and ‘All). This area also provides options to pick and choose data fields of your choice.

In addition, you can see the count of sections for which the selected table contains data. This allows you to know if the data is available for all selected sections.

Choosing the “Add to Selection” button will add the selected nodes for filtered sections to “Selected Data” panel.

The ‘Selected Data’ panel at the bottom of your screen will contain all of the selected data tables, number of selected sections, number of available data records, and number of data attributes or fields.

You may edit or remove each item until you are satisfied with your selection. Then you can add the selected data to your data bucket.

After selecting all the required data you can add it to your Data Bucket by selecting ‘Add to Data Bucket’ button. Please note this button will become visible after you have selected the data in previous step.

On the Data Bucket page, you can submit the data for extraction by selecting the “Submit Data Bucket for Extraction”. You will receive an e-mail confirming your submission and then another e-mail when your data is available for download.
