Find Sections (a.k.a. Section Filters) provides filter criteria to narrow down the selection of LTPP test sections. Users can apply filters from multiple classifications at their discretion. Selected Section Count is updated in real-time as the user applies filters.

LTPPBind Online

LTPPBind Online is a web-based tool to help highway agencies select the asphalt binder Performance Grade (PG) for a particular site based on the AASHTO M320-10 standard. Algorithms for high and low temperature are the same as LTPPBind 3.0/3.1 release. LTPPBind Online allows use of MERRA climatic data, LTPP climatic data, or user data for asphalt binder grade calculations. For further details, please see the LTPPBind Online Product Brief.

In order to see the differences between MERRA and OWS databases refer to: Schwartz, et al (2015). "Evaluation of LTPP Climatic Data for Use in Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) Calibration and Other Pavement Analysis." Rep. No. FHWA-HRT-15-019.
MERRA data inputs can vary for projects saved before July 2, 2017 and re-opened after that date due to a changes in the underlying NASA models.
